About Perry Township, Ohio
Founded in 1815, Perry Township is a proud and historic community located in Brown County, Ohio. One of twenty-six Perry Townships across the state, our township is rooted in tradition while continuing to serve residents with transparency and care.
Perry Township is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees, elected by residents during November elections in odd-numbered years. Trustees serve four-year terms beginning January 1, with two trustees elected in the year following the presidential election and one elected the year prior. The Fiscal Officer, elected begins their term on April 1 following the election.
Covering 59.1 square miles, Perry Township features 58.8 square miles of land and 0.31 square miles of water, with an elevation of approximately 938 feet. According to the 2020 census, the township is home to 4,674 residents, all contributing to the close-knit, community-focused character that defines Perry Township.
